Layout: Embrace your space
Dimensions
Your stall space is 3m (wide) x 2.5m (deep) unless we’ve clarified otherwise.
It can be handy to do a test run to see what you’ll fit into this space. Get out some masking tape and mark out these dimensions on your living room floor. Generally, 2-3 racks and one small table will fit comfortably. Every stall includes two chairs, supplied by us.
Equipment
If you need racks, hangers or a trestle table for the day, we’ve got you. We've teamed up with an awesome company to hire out retail-grade racks for the day. These are sturdy and generous. We also have non-slip hangers and trestle tables available for hire.
Less is more!
Remember, less is more! Try not to overload your garment racks, and be sure to leave space for shoppers to browse. Got jewellery or shoes to sell? Bring along a little table or hire a trestle table. We recommend keeping your racks light on at first, and adding new pieces as your stuff sells - stacking your rack will make people turn away, as it can be hard to navigate.
Looking to catch eyes? Put your best stuff right up front, separate your black garments to increase visibility, and put things at different heights to create interest (using racks, tables, boxes, or even a rummage bin).
Signage
After almost every market, we get feedback from shoppers that they would love to see more signage on stalls. The biggest thing they are looking for is whether the clothing you have is in their size. We recommend at the least, having a big sign with the size range you have available visible at the front of your stall, and if you’re really wanting to get folks to your stall - label each item with the size on the label.
We know that sizing can vary wildly, but often shoppers know the range they will be able to fit into and this will draw them in.
